Privacy Policy

1. Overview

DevGear is a collection of developer utility tools (Base64 encoder/decoder, JSON formatter, JWT debugger, Hash generator, UUID generator, and more). The App is designed to process all data locally on your device. We do not operate servers that receive or store your input data.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:

  • Input data you enter into any tool (JSON, JWT tokens, hashes, text, URLs, files, etc.)
  • Files you open via the file picker
  • Any personally identifiable information (PII)
  • Usage analytics or behavioral tracking data

All tool processing happens exclusively on your device and the results are never sent anywhere.

3. Data Stored Locally

The App uses local device storage (via shared_preferences) to persist your preferences and settings (e.g., UI state, last-used options). This data:

  • Never leaves your device
  • Is not accessible to us or any third party
  • Can be cleared by uninstalling the App

4. Feedback (Wiredash)

The App includes an optional in-app feedback feature powered by Wiredash. If you choose to submit feedback, the following information may be collected and transmitted to Wiredash's servers:

  • The feedback message you write
  • Basic device information (OS version, device model, screen size)
  • App version and build number
  • A randomly generated, non-identifiable session identifier

Feedback submission is entirely voluntary. No data is sent to Wiredash unless you explicitly open the feedback widget and submit it. For details, see the Wiredash Privacy Policy.

5. Permissions

Depending on the platform, the App may request the following permissions:

No permission is used for tracking, advertising, or data collection purposes.

6. Children's Privacy

DevGear is intended for use by developers and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this document.
